The Derry Veterans Assistance Fund
...was started in 2016 by a desire to help those who have served in our country's armed forces in our community. We recognize the sacrifice of serving and hope to help those in need who have given us everything to keep us safe and free.
It is our mission to provide relief to those who have served in our armed forces within our community by helping provide them a better quality of life. This is the least we as a community can provide for these veterans who have sacrificed so much. With this small effort we hope to empower veterans, unite the community with those who have served and establish lines of trust in communication for those veterans in need.
It is our goal to work with other local organizations to help identify, assist and connect veterans in need with resources they may not know are available to them and assist ourselves if others cannot or if there is a period of time before those resources are made available to them. We hope that through this guidance, no veteran in our community will have to sacrifice more than they have already after protecting our freedoms and liberty.

In May of 2017 the DVAF received its 501(c)(3) non-profit status. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
