Thank you to Navy Veterans Ernie StPierre and Bill Stout who were holding down the fort. It was great to be at Derryfest and to meet with so many people. Thank you all who visited our booth and a big thank you to all who donated to our veterans — it will be well appreciated! Others who had volunteered to help for the day were Jim & Anne Cherniack.

Gift Basket Raffle
We raffled a gift basket of goodies with a value of about $700. It included many gift certificates from local businesses, including two tickets to Derry After Dark and two tickets to Oktoberfest. We raised over $2,800 that will directly assist veterans in need as we head into cold winter months.
Marathon Run for DVAF
After recouping from a broken pelvis, Mr. Clint Havens decided to work toward a big goal to help himself get back on track, so Clint decided to train for that grueling 26.2 marathon run on April 15th and dedicating his run to the Derry Veteran's Assistance Fund. With your tax-deductible donations and/or pledges received, Clint is donating directly to the D.V.A.F organization to help our Veterans.
